WHY EMASS?
There are hundreds of travel teams and almost as many Cooperstown teams. What differentiates what we do, why is the experience unique and worthwhile?

WE ARE A FAMILY
We understand, respect and encourage the reality that every parent wants what is best for their child. With that in mind, we teach and coach people and baseball. We love, respect and care for every player as part of a team. We encourage kids to dream of greatness, and provide the discipline, hard work and competition that will hopefully allow them to achieve their goals. We do not say this will be easy. Most worthwhile things are not. Talent, without discipline, hard work, challenge and effort rarely comes to fruition.
COMPETITION
The one thing we offer that no travel or town team can, is in team competition. Everyone who makes EMass is gifted. Who is willing to work harder? Compete? Try, and maybe not succeed at first? Without risk, there is rarely a lasting reward.

How does a player react to challenge? Being on a team with brothers who want to be better, who are passionate about baseball and effort is not something they have experienced.

We have averaged ten Division 1 players a year for the past eleven years. Our players make lifelong friendships because they learn to love and respect each other and share a passion for baseball and competition.

For those fortunate to make the team, we do NOT conflict with travel or town commitments.

LOVE, RESPECT, & FAMILY
We strongly believe that baseball is a vehicle to teach life lessons. Love, respect and family are the essence of EMass. Cooperstown is, or for this year, was, a tournament we went to, it is not EMass. We offer a chance to compete, within the confines of our team. Everyone can not bat third and play shortstop. In team competition acts as a catalyst for young men that have only known what it is like to be the best. Our coaching style and content serves to challenge the exceptional players.

We love and respect each player and family. We have seen, and been told repeatedly, what the EMass experience has meant to our families.
We seek out talented players that realize and embrace that this is the beginning of their journey. We try and help supply the grit, discipline and responsibility that will make their dreams attainable. Talent without hard work is often wasted. How is a young man to understand how much better he can be, if he is always the best?
MEMORIES
We have reiterated over the years, EMass goes to Cooperstown, we are not a Cooperstown team. The value in what we do is one part baseball, the remainder is focused on love, respect and family. Character, dedication and teamwork are forever. If interested, please have your son read the notes from prior players. Notice where the memories and emphasis are. Baseball is an amazing vehicle to teach a young man about who he is, and perhaps put him on a path to achieving his dreams. At 12, there are no ceilings, only horizons.

We are justifiably proud of who we are, and the way we have touched the lives of our families over the past nineteen years. The intensity of our practices reflects the love and respect we have for our team.

If the world returns to some level of normalcy, we will attend the nationally televised NYBC in late July, and the Cooperstown Dreams Park tournament in late August.

As we have always done we will not conflict with travel ball and town Williamsport or Ripken teams. If interested in a competitive team where everyone challenges everyone and your son can discover how good he can be, not merely be content with who he is, we are the best, and only, option.

Take care of your loved ones, accept this as a wish and prayer that all will come out of this stronger and more aware of how precious the little things we occasionally overlook are.

My belief, as I have expressed before, is that neither you, or your son, can know how good he can be until he is on a team where he has to compete for playing time with his peers. The EMass team is composed of quality players, but more importantly each member is focused and wants to get better.

Each of you will do what you feel is best for your son and your family.

My hope is that you are willing to see who we are and what we can do for your son.
